hands laid out, my eyelids burnt
an unanswered call; i'll never learn
it's come crisper outside, the days-a-quarter
they remained long, and my hair got shorter
just let me know about the waves
play some human games
you don't know, your taught to sting-me-it's-
the herd effect; collective fear
'cause i can't see the summer sweet
it's a complicated petty plea
the feelings coming again
i'll find a way like honey in water
let's shuffle our feet, in the scholar's quarter
i want to take my bags pack up and flea
i don't know - it's a part of me
and you've been working at a dead-end
she won't pass through
and you've been waiting for a letter
not addressed to you
the feeling's coming again
just let me know about the waves
play some human games
and you've been working at a dead-end
she won't pass through
and you've been waiting for a letter
not addressed to you

waste of air
03:27
|
|||
i found you, in the scrawl
a poem of nothing
there's weakness in their bones
the peeling paper shows our fate
i remember the evening fire
the laughing flames of open minds
we didn't have to sense a feeling of pretence
and say that i'd died
that's how i should feel? so what? so what?
that's how i should feel? so what? so what?
and it's all a waste of air.
you tremble with a fear
that she would disappear
waking up to bleed
a relative disease away
the next stop that you choose to make
could be too much for her to take
you've stumbled through her lines
but she will call the time
she bleeds what she needs
that's how i should feel? so what? so what?
that's how i should feel? so what? so what?
and it's all a waste of air.

about time
05:04
|
|||
it's about time
and i want you to know
you should get your things and go
it's about time
and i want you to know
we don't need graves to let go
aren't you tired of it all?
it makes sense to forget
than live more days in regret
it's about time
and i need you to know
so lets make it our last one
we're falling over ourselves now
trying to change our lives
or get back to a past one
but given half a chance
we'll make the same mistakes
each and every time
i remember your face
lit with porch light
as i took my leave into the night
too much time had passed
i came back to our room
nothing had moved
so before you could see me
i slipped away
oh we looked...so old
so lets make it our last one
we're falling over ourselves now
trying to change our lives
or get back to a past one
but given half a chance
we'll make the same mistakes
each and every time
each and every time
each and every time

you'll never learn
05:59
|
|||
and you look at me, as if i could forgive you
paths were burnt,
long ago on bridges you chose to cross
i know i'll get the blame
(i hear the black around her eyes distorting what she sees and what-)
when the crash is on time
(she says is meant for other ears and as she talks i feel like i've-)
but i don't mind
(sat through this all a thousand times so why does this feel like a mistake?)
i hear the black around her eyes distorting what she sees
you said to me
that if you wanted this could be
your last drink tonight
so make up your mind
i don't want to have to watch you
make a fool of yourself
you'll never learn
you said to me
that if we wanted this could be
the last day of our lives
so why don't you have the time
to love
as you should or just feel this can't be right
you'll never learn

My Grey Horse Stratford Upon Avon, UK
My Grey Horse was formed of 5 friends who spent 5 years making music that anchored their
existence.
We're really proud of these records but now it makes sense to move on.
Thanks to anybody who listened to our stuff, bought our records, came to shows or supported us in anyway over the years: we couldn't be more grateful. You've been incredible.
Love from,
Pete, John, Oobah, Joe and Tom.
