Tug of Warcraft

It will come like a man walking through fire
Walking on a faded rug
Backup faces foul like sweat
He will hold you with a sailor's smile
Pouring hope,
From a paper cup
Further down the road
That's my house - it's best viewed in low light
When the girls are sitting on the fence
Showing off their pretty legs
Their bodies stick inside my head
Like toothache
Grew up drunk
One day they'll give up
Shouting like dumb crazy death
Selling pockets full of dust
But they can't dance with broken backs
They can't build on broken trust
I've thinned the grass I tread upon
In the fields of furthest out
My words lost in your smoke
My bones bleached in your drought
I passed him today - his face was kind've smashed in
He's probably dying slowly from something
I am too that's why I'm smiling
I crawled too far through swollen guts
I hope we never meet
You wouldn't understand
You're holding dead hands
Shouting like dumb crazy death
Selling pockets full of dust
But they can't dance with broken backs
They can't build on broken trust
I've thinned the grass I tread upon
In the fields of furthest out
My words lost in your smoke
My bones bleached in your drought

Johnny Edson

Since I was young I've had a dream
Of Johnny's body lay by the side of the road
His neck all twisted up and cut with stones
All because he was running to get home
Running to get home
Spent his days at the back of the room
In the corner of the playground at school
He seemed to like his life, he smiled a lot
With his face to the wind and his hands in his pockets
Trying to get home
Life hit Johnny in waves of magic
The bronze lesson bell, the angry priests calling
Images born when we read the morning stories
The cold bottled milk we drank in the storeroom
Trying to get home
Since I was young I've had this dream
It comes when I'm feeling down
There is my friend Johnny Edson with his satchel and books
Laid on the ground

Smiles Free

From the silence I knew we were speechless
From the front room we heard bare feet on the floor
Disgusted at the noise from the bedroom
We let our shadows grow long on the floor
The nights, they melt into days
Days crash into the night... the nights
I can taste you with the tips of my ears
Time is being mugged, I wonder why we wasted it all

He was already forgotten before he left
Every step a gift he gave to himself
He drank, silhouetted in memories he couldn’t care for
It was worthless; he sat staring at the waves wash the sand
His soul sank for all the time he’d wasted
He could see it now, a life he’d let sag and scrape the ground
He started writing down every word he wished he’d said
He’ll trade them to useful purpose before everything, everyone is dead
Sun…He danced in the Sun
With bare feet he waded out into the ocean
He stood, dropped the paper and watched the words bleed

We're really proud of these records but now it makes sense to move on.
Thanks to anybody who listened to our stuff, bought our records, came to shows or supported us in anyway over the years: we couldn't be more grateful. You've been incredible.
Love from,
Pete, John, Oobah, Joe and Tom.
