lyrics

when she took off their shoes did she say goodbye?/ as they circled the car did they see the funny side?/ it never sank in/ she said when she pulled up at red lights he got in/ people prayed as she sobbed for their safe return/ though she’d watched the car lights sink and turn/ she must have thought her steps would wipe clean/ but the lights on monarch mills had stayed green/ drawings of a life on scraps of paper/ pictures that they’ll never be in/ in the back they’re strapped-in upside down/ a hand against the window, they were found/ “we’re too different, I don’t want kids”/ on bed of john d. long lake is where they hid/ plans for a life on scraps of paper/ pictures that should never be seen/ lives, spilling into other lives/ clouds pushing into greyer skies/ white, floating in forgotten strands/ peace where sleep is stronger than wine/ and from prison letters were wrote/ her feelings outshone by others grief/ but in the dark they drowned on their own/ and the pictures they should’ve drawn stay under stone

about

My Grey Horse Stratford Upon Avon, UK

My Grey Horse was formed of 5 friends who spent 5 years making music that anchored their existence.

We're really proud of these records but now it makes sense to move on.

Thanks to anybody who listened to our stuff, bought our records, came to shows or supported us in anyway over the years: we couldn't be more grateful. You've been incredible.

Love from,
Pete, John, Oobah, Joe and Tom.
